Permanent Commission to Women in Armed Forces

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s addressed to the Nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort at Delhi on the 72nd Independence Day on 15h August, 2018 and announced that the women officers of
the Armed Forces who are selected through Short Service Commission (SSC) will be be given Permanent Commission (PC). Therefore the women candidates will also be selected through transparent selection process  in armed forces for Permanent Commission like currently male candidates are being selected.
